The Bronze Age: Brief Overview(8/27/13)
In this presentation I was ask to research a specific age, in this case the Bronze Age, and show how technology affected the people during this time period. At the end we were to present them in front of the class and learn about the 9 different types of ages and how drastically technology as moved since the first stone spear
Feedback
I really enjoyed this project because it was a fun and educational way to learn about a variety ages. I also learned about how people adapted in order to solve the problems they faced at the time. This is really beneficial because it showed me how to be more creative when it comes to solving a problem.

Prototype 1: The Tri-Cleaner (9/30/13)
Brief Description
In our groups, we were supposed to design a prototype that would make everyday chores simpler and more efficient. With the help of my colleagues, Fernando Luna and Alan Padilla, we were able to create a device that would make dusting, sweeping, and mopping around the house more efficient.
Feedback
This project was important because it showed us how to work with the materials we were given. Although they were limited, it gave me a chance to adapt and construct with what was around us. I really enjoyed this because it was a fun way of working together and be creative.

Prototype 2: The Quad-Cleaner(10/7/13)
Brief Overview
In this experiment we were supposed to improve upon our first prototype. With an unlimited amount of resources and extended time we came up with a solution to make cleaning around easier for those people who live alone and do not have the energy to clean.
Feedback
I really enjoyed working on this project because this was a really fun way of cleaning and not working too much. In this project I learned that sometimes the best way to do work is to have fun. This proe

Woodpecker Circuit: Brief Overview (10/11/13)
In this project, we were asked to connect wires to a circuit board in order to create a woodpecker sound that was controlled by a transmitter. The purpose of this project was to familiarize ourselves with different types of devices in order to be able to find solutions for different types of problems.
Feedback
What I enjoyed about this project is that we were able to get hands on experience with an actual device that would benefit us in our future endeavors This was a very good way to show us how electrical engineers must work understand confusing conditions and still be able to focus on their goals.

JOURNAL: Brief Overview(8/22/13)
This journal below has been with me since the beginning of this course. Its purpose is to hold all my ideas and concepts in an organized form so that I can review and refine those ideas which I feel need more progress or can be used in my future goals.
Feedback
What I enjoy about having this journal is that I have a neat record of all my projects which I have done and can easily go back and see what I need to fix, or what I forgot to do. What's more is that these projects will actually help in my future job because it teaches me how to be organized and professional with every job I do.

MAJOR REPORT:MECHANICAL ENGINEERING(8/22/13)
Brief overview
In this assignment we were supposed to research a field which I found interesting and would like to pursue. Below is the written project which i submitted that describes all the qualities and expectations for being a mechanical engineer.

Feedback
What I enjoyed about this assignment was that I was able to learn in greater depth about the field I wanted to pursue. I actually find out things that i was not so sure about, some that made me truly think about what the pros and cons about that field.

Mechanical engineering paper
Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering's out there and involves designing, developing models, testing ideas, and refining the problems for future applications. This type engineering involves physics, thermodynamics, geometry, and so on, when it comes to designing and calculating the mechanical devices that one is trying to produce. To be a mechanical engineer, one must be familiar with the ore of physics, kinetics, electricity in order for it to be able to create something not only useful but also able to function properly.
Many don’t know that a mechanical engineer must be flexible and versatile when it comes to designing and remodeling the problems when it comes to these products. So in order to be an engineer one must be extremely familiar with a variety of subjects such as mathematics (calculus and algebra), heat transfer, energy conversion, combustion, fluid mechanics, kinematics, measurement, hydraulics, robotics, and computer-aided design. However what many people don’t know is that mechanical engineers are also expected to be able to apply chemistry, civil engineering, and electrical engineering. The reason for this is because mechanical engineers have a wide variety of problems and products that they have to redesign or remodel due to inefficiencies.
In 2010, it was the median annual wage of mechanical engineers was $78,160. However, it was expected to grow by 9 percent in the next ten years. Some starting salaries with bachelor's degrees, because that’s the minimum you need to become an engineer, was in 2009 about $58,000. Some of the best colleges now for this type of engineering include Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of California–Berkeley, Georgia Institute of Technology, and so on. However when you add everything together, all it takes to be a good engineer is to have the creativity, knowledge, and the passion to create and fix any problems that may occur.

GAME BOARD: Brief Description(9/4/13)
In this project, we were asked to design a game board that would represent and include the Ages of Technology. The reason for this project was for us to learn how technology has progressed through the ages and came to be what it is today.
Feedback
In this project, I was able to show in a fun way about the various ages that we had studied in class. I liked this one the most because I really did learn about the ages and would like to do something of this nature again. The game board itself was not so difficult to create but getting the idea

Obelisk (11/1/13)
Brief Description:
In this project we were asked to create and obelisk out of any materials that we saw fit to do the job. What our group decided on was making our obelisk out of a single peace of wood to not only make this simpler but also be easy to transport and not have pieces fall
Feedback:
I enjoyed this project because it showed me how difficult it was to create something of this size with limited materials. I also was very excited to actually see in obelisk in person which I had never done. It was difficult to create the top part of the obelisk for obvious reason but eventually we were able to solve that problem by sanding each side down.

Rube goldberg(11/11/13)
Brief Description:
In this project we were supposed to create process which used 5 different types of technologies (mechanical, fluid, thermal, optic, and electrical) which would be able to pop a balloon in the end.
Feedback:
What I enjoyed most about this project was the final outcome of the process. I didn't think that we would actually achieve this task and be able to last one minute. There was difficulties when it came to thinking about how the balloon was to pop and what technologies we could use but other than that, the project was done in a short amount of time.

final project (12/18/13)
Brief Description:
In this project we were asked to create a circuit that would be used to here AM radio stations. With the packet provided to us by our teacher, I was to solder the pieces into place and be able to create a functioning radio.
Feedback:
What I enjoyed about this project was that the radio was not only able to pick up the stations, but was also very clear and precise. Soldering was a new experience that I had never tried before and although I was not an expert, I was able to connect each one without damaging the circuit.

Sketch up model: Da House(1/13/14)
Brief Description:
In this project we were asked to design our dream house using Google sketch up. With the help of my colleagues, I was able to not only figure out how to create the structure of the house but also focus on details. At first, since I was not accustomed to anything that was on Google sketch up, or had ever opened it before, it took time for me to grasp the functions of each tool.
Feedback:
I liked this project because it helped me gain some skills that are not only useful, but also skills that I will use in college. This was also a great experience and skill that I know will be useful in any future job. I also found Google sketch up as an important tool that I can use for future projects.
